The photographer will always influence his subjects, as will the type of camera he uses. Humans cannot be indifferent to their environment or other humans, for as long as one's senses are alive, they are processing sensory input. This is why I prefer shooting manually, as well as using minimal staging while capturing portraits. I believe people look best in their natural setting.
